1. General info & where is Starry Nites?
Day and weekend passes are available now through TICKETFLY. We are located at LIVE OAK CAMPGROUND in the mountains of Santa Barbara at 4600 Highway 154 approximately 12.5 miles from downtown Santa Barbara. Children under 5 are FREE. Youth passes are 50% off for children 13 years of age our younger and include free camping. Youth passes are available in advance through Ticketfly.
2. Is car camping allowed?
We offer tent camping as well as a limited number of CAR and RV camping slots. All camping related passes are available now through Ticketfly. Tent campers must park and leave their vehicles in the festival parking lot and walk their supplies into the designated camping area. Festival volunteers will greet you and assist with carrying your items to the campground. All overnight tent campers automatically receive access to the preferred parking section closest to gates entry and receive 50% off parking ($10 instead of $20). Car campers and RV campers are asked to arrive Saturday 3/18 prior to 5PM and exit Monday morning on 3/20. This is to protect the safety of fellow festival goers. Once parked you are not to drive around grounds at anytime (special permission / assistance is required if you have to exit your vehicle from the grounds for any reason). YOU MUST HAVE A CAMPING WRISTBAND TO ENTER THE CAMPING AREAS. Please note - fires and open flames are not allowed anywhere on the festival grounds. Propane stoves are permitted and we ask all to be mindful of safety in the camping areas.
3. What are the restrictions on RV/ motorhome camping?
HOORAY! WE HAVE REMOVED THE TRAILER RESTRICTION! You must purchase an RV/TRAILER pass to bring your camper on site. Anyone entering the camping or RV corral must have a camping wristband. All RV/TRAILER campers must camp for the full weekend and are asked to enter the premises on Saturday (3/18) prior to 5PM and exit Monday (3/20).
4. What time is check in? What time do bands start?
Our parking lot opens at 10AM. Camping and General check in begins at 11AM. Doors open at 12PM. Band performances begin at 12:20 PM.
5. What restrictions exist for food and alcohol?
No persons under 21 shall be served alcohol or consume alcoholic beverages. You must present a valid government issued ID to receive a 21+ wristband for consumption of alcohol anywhere on festival grounds (including camping areas). Campers over 21 years of age are permitted to bring food and libations into the campground, however, restrictions do apply and excessive or inappropriate quantities of alcohol may be confiscated upon entry by security, staff or on site deputies at the sole discretion of Starry Nites Festival. Outside alcohol and food is only allowed in the camping areas and not allowed inside the event areas.
6. How do I receive the student discount for on site camping?
Students with a valid student ID from Santa Barbara are eligible for 10% off a weekend pass and FREE weekend camping. Students from outside of the area are eligible for 10% off a weekend pass. Tickets are available directly from UCSB and SBCC campuses. You can also message us directly to receive a code and simply present your student ID at entry for confirmation to avoid being charged general rates.
7. How much is parking?
On site parking is $20 per vehicle upon entry. Anyone who camps on site is eligible for 50% off parking and access to the preferred parking area nearest to gates entry.
